Stimulus

I question the stimulus...while the construction would offer jobs to the unemployed, I fear that these people would shortly be out of work again. With the government jobs being offered, who is eligible to work for Washington? You are going to have to cut taxes because I am not willing to pay any amount into a pay increase for anyone in DC while our family, friends and neighbors are out of work.
P.S. Ford, you said you didn't need to take part of the payout? As soon as we can afford it, I'm going to my local Ford dealer and getting a new car! www.troyford.com

TAX STRIKE!

OK, show of hands...how many of you would like to stop paying taxes for 4 years. Oh, I know, I know...ME!!!!

People in OUR (yup it's ours...we pay for it) administration, haven't paid their taxes, so why should I? Can I "forget" to pay my taxes...course not...I'm Caucasian, female (well I might have that going for me...any thoughts Hilary?), and over the age of 30...did I mention Christian...that should get a few politicians in an uproar.

I work hard every day to bring home my salary (I love my job!) for my family and for what? So the government can use my money to fund abortions overseas?!

It wasn't bad enough that I had to sit by while a bill gets discussed to allow a 13 YEAR OLD GIRL to have an abortion...as if telling a 13 year old that it is OK to have sex would EVER be acceptable to me in the first place, now I'm going to tell her that she shouldn't even have to share that information with me, let alone get my permission to destroy her body and kill a child? Come on!!! NOW I get the pleasure of having to PAY for another women's child to have an abortion THAT DOESN'T EVEN LIVE IN AMERICA!!!!! Are you kidding me?

If that wasn't bad enough, let's try something else...now we get to bail out companies with over 850 billion dollars of our hard earned money and spend 23 billion dollars of that to install high speed Internet to different areas of the Country that don't have it. Huh?! Are you serious?!

Let me get this straight...I'm well over $400,000 in debt and you are going to spend 23 BILLION dollars so that people can access the Internet faster? Mr. Gates, I truly respect you and what you've done for the world, but what in the world are people going to be doing on-line that JUSTIFIES spending 23 BILLION dollars on Internet service? Job search, posting blogs, watching...I don't know...the media (heaven forbid)? I'M ALREADY PAYING FOR THE INTERNET EVERY DANG MONTH! Yes, I pay for it because I work and earn the right to have it. Get a job, call your cable company and PAY YOUR BILLS!

23 BILLION dollars?!!! I wonder what my cable provider (whom I like a lot, dish people please don't call me) would say if I just called them up and said that the people in Washington would be paying my bill from now on.

Idea!

Let's give all of us hard working AMERICANS a tax break...instead of handing out money to companies who are not accountable for their spending. Did you hear what one bank did with the last bailout? They sent their executives to a golf resort (which cost HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of dollars) to relax...what in the world for? Obviously they were not working very hard if they were 750 billion dollars in debt so they probably didn't need that much of a break.

Last I checked, even after spending their "play" money, interest rates didn't go down, my credit card bill definitely didn't go down, and my mortgage is still way out of control. Why should the banks change anything now...they've got a pretty good thing going on.

Hello? Anyone in the government at home? Why don't you bail us out...let us pay off our debts, educate us on spending (yes, start in schools...you can teach kids about sex but you can't teach them about money? Seriously?) and instead of telling banks and credit companies that they HAVE to give us credit...tell them they SHOULDN'T! We need you to be sure that the banks and credit companies don't take advantage of us...not help them along.

What would happen if I showed up in Washington and asked for $500,000 to bail me out? Well, once I got out of prison, I'd be a laughing stock...of course, after this blog I might end up that way regardless.

Of course, we could just stop paying the government salaries and put an end to all of this pain and suffering. Do you know how we do that? STOP paying taxes!

On a seperate note...

I also wouldn't be closing down Guantanamo Bay. (listen, if someone gives someone/something a name, call it what it is...what idiot thought up gitmo? Are we so much in a fix for our immediate needs that we can't even say a full name anymore?).

Question...

Where are all of those people going to go? Are we going to let them loose? Send them back to their home country? Let them loose here?

We have self admitted terrorists that will stop at nothing to murder innocent Americans and if we let them go then we will know which side we stand on...and it is not the red, white and blue side.

By the way...who foots the bill for closing down Guantanamo Bay? Awww, let me guess...the tax payers...tax payers are the ones who actually PAY the taxes...you know that -$ that comes out of your check, the one that goes to Washington? That comes from us...guess this makes us their boss...hmmmmm.

Back to the basics...

Listen you don't have to agree with everything I stand for...I don't try to push my beliefs on others (even though I'm right) but is this truly the environment you want to live in? Raise your kids in? Do you not want a better life for your children, their children?

Should the pain continue or can we put a stop to it right now? Our government works for us and we should let them know that this society is no longer acceptable to us.

We work because we are the people that want to support ourselves and our families instead of receive as much of a hand out as we possibly can. We need to stop believing that people owe us for things we couldn't control in the past.

I recognize that we had discrimination in this Country. People behaved badly and made horrible choices. I don't condone what those people did and I would never do what they did. Come to think of it, I have not done what those people did 100 years ago, 50 years ago, 25 years ago.

I praise God that discrimination is a thing of the past in this Country. The great Martin Luther King had a dream, and that dream has been fulfilled...now what do we do with it? How much of his legacy will be fulfilled now...and where will you be in four years.

DC

P.S. This is not a Presidential bash. I can not begin to comprehend how daunting a task it would be to lead this Country of ours...and while I can not agree with some of President Obama's policies, I do support the man behind the desk. I just pray, he isn't it in for the glory...I can't image he would be, as he is also Christian and answers to a much higher authority than any of us. I repeat that I am not against President Obama...it's my government I'm fed up with.
